Welcome to the Spring 2025 UAkron Online Promise (UAOP) Orientation Session! This orientation is designed to introduce faculty to the guiding principles of The UAkron Online Promise—a commitment to six reciprocal guarantees between UAkron Online Learners and Faculty. During this session, instructors will have the opportunity to learn about the Promise’s benefits and impact, and, if interested, sign up to incorporate the Promise into their courses. This decision will mark a commitment to fostering an engaged, quality online learning environment that centers on student success.

As part of the Committed to Quality (CTQ) process, faculty will explore tools and resources that facilitate ongoing student feedback and data collection, which are integral to meeting UAOP standards. This session will also cover the CTQ’s three pivotal meetings, scheduled throughout the semester, and the UAOP course’s resources, surveys, and checklists to enhance course quality. Instructors will learn how to strategically reference UAOP principles at key points during the semester, underscoring their commitment to quality.
