6 one-hour sessions will be offered during the semester to showcase various library resources relevant to the research process. Participants will be introduced to the topic and related tools/resources with additional time provided for guided exploration.

Format: 20-30 minutes demo/lecture/activities; 30-40 minutes “tutored” work time.

10/26: Plagiarism traps and how to avoid them 

“But I didn’t mean to” is no excuse when it comes to plagiarism. You have to know what’s right and what’s wrong when quoting, summarizing, and referencing other people’s works (including words, art, and music). You’ll leave this session with a better understanding of the rules and with resources to consult when writing a paper or doing creative work.
