Planning Your Hybrid, Dual Delivery, or Online Live Class In-Person

This workshop will help faculty negotiate the challenge of reminaging instruction--and rebuilding a course--within the socially-distant and tech-enhanced environment of Fall 2020.  It is designed especially for those planning to teach dual delivery, hybrid, or online live classes in the upcoming semester and will include sample presentations and peer-to-peer discussions, as well as hands-on course development and practice with the technology. Participants will be invited to attend the workshop both online and in person (with social distancing measures in place), so they can experience the "class" from their students' perspective(s).

The daily schedule is as follows:

Day 1:  Reimagining and Rebuilding your Course (connect via WebEx*)

Day 2: Creating Presence and Fostering Engagement (connect via WebEx*)

Day 3:  Exercising Flexibility  (connect via Microsoft Teams*)

Day 4:  Making it All Work:  The Mechanics of Dual/Hybrid/Online Live Delivery (connect via Microsoft Teams -- and/or come onto campus to set up, practice, and record your own “session”)

Day 5:  On-Campus Resources and Final Thoughts  (connect via TBD*)

*Further details regarding the workshops and options for daily on-campus attendance will be emailed to participants by July 15th.

Those who attend and participate in the entire series will earn an ITL Certificate of Completion.  (PLEASE NOTE:  you must sign up for ALL five sessions (individually) in order to register for the entire series.)
