Learn how-to collaborate remotely, in real time, with Teams.

Microsoft Teams is a component of UA's Office 365 subscription. The Teams service presents a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage (including collaboration on files), and application integration in one screen.

 

Instructions on how to join the meeting are emailed the day before the seminar.

 

Topics presented in this hands-on session include:

  1. Understand functionality using Teams application Tabs
  2. File tab
    1. Upload work files from SharePoint or OneDrive to a Team
    2. post files from your OneDrive to the Team
    3. synchronize SharePoint files to your Team
    4. convert a work file to a File tab menu item
    5. understand file synchronization between Teams and SharePoint and Teams and OneDrive

  5. Search Teams for messages, people & files
    1. use powerful filters to narrow results
    2. preview results in Teams
  6. Set status to prevent accidental interruptions
  7. Monitor your Teams activities by changing Notification settings
